Our families love traveling together. Sadly, we couldn’t work it out this year. When we returned from spring break, I had to call Angelena to tell her about these seven things…
IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT THE FACES. Pardon the hyperbole, but after sampling a billion cookies in NYC, I can now say Funny Face Bakery offered our favorites. Known for their artful sugar cookies, the gooey cookies are a family favorite. The chocolate chip is sublime: big, soft center with the perfect edge.
IN AN EFFORT TO BE INCLUSIVE and because not everyone loves a big gooey cookie, Chip City’s Thin Chips are just as good! We aren’t talking Tate’s thin or crisp, just a classic cookie. Chocolate chip and Funfetti were delicious.
CAME FOR THE CLASSIC NYC PIZZA. STAYED FOR THE SLICE OF OLIVE OIL CAKE. L’Industrie Pizza will make you wait in a line on the sidewalk and hardly give you a place to sit and eat your pizza but it’s 100% worth it. And don’t be shy ordering something from the mouth-watering bakery display case at checkout.
HIGH UP WITH HIGH PRAISE Summit One Vanderbilt is Manhattan's tallest skyscraper and its unique and immersive experience on floors 91-93 was a highlight for our entire family.
PINK VANILLA is the most perfect flavor offered at The Museum of Ice Cream. A must with kids in NYC!
YOU GOTTA SEE HER CROWN! It’s a small spiral staircase up but The Statue of Liberty crown view is breathtaking. Plan ahead for these upgraded tickets as they do sell out.
10,000 STEPS+ Reef and their soft cushioned footbed can handle the job. Tried and tested in Barcelona and NYC now.
